mustang302ci,
Where on this lovely planet do you reside? Let's see some pics of your rig.

Phoenix Arizona Central that is. I have a 66 mustang coupe that is originally a 289. But threw in a inline6 to drive. Now (3yrs in) i want more power. So i bought a long block 302 CID HO motor. Need help wit parts selection so i turn to you guys.

Awesome, Glad to have you aboard. What gear box are you planning? My daughter's 65 is running a 302/AOD combo. Great gas mileage and plenty of spunk.

Looking at your interior shots (thank you by the way), I see you are running probably a c4 gear box. You can easily stay with that (assuming you are not changing over to a manual), the only issue is at high speeds, your RPM are pretty high. That is why we put a AOD in the 65 knowing that it would be seeing long distance travels. We have Bruno (B67FSTB) in Belgium who is installing an AOD into his rig. Keeping him very busy but when he's done, it will be fantastic.

Yes im sticking with the c4 for now. I just had it rebuilt and starting on the parts for the 302 but ford is very difficult in parts selection.

Sounds like a plan to me. Do you have drums or disc brakes up front? If drums, you need to seriously consider some discs.

Oh yeah...welcome a board. You'll find that a well seasoned sense of humor will take you far. The most important thing is to submit trucks and tractors for Car of the Month!

Reconsider adding a Ban button. All I'm going to say.
