What is nice about tapatalk is that it purges out lots of the uneeded fluff such as the shout box, etc and only shows the nitty gritty things such as the posts. It also makes taking pics with the phone and posting them directly to the forum so much easier.
What would be a couple reasons to not have it?

thanks for the input. The new site is cell phone friendly. And can do all the above. I used to use Tapatalk but with cell phone technology. Don't need Tapatalk now. .Wanted people opinions

I like tapatalk. I have three forums I visit regularly. one is not tapatalk friendly and I hardly visit it anymore as a result. Tapatalk works for me to quickly check what is going on and is easy for me to use at lunch or just when I want to take a break in my work truck.

I was the one who introduced Tapatalk to this forum and it's awesome. How do you allow phone users to upload photos without it?
After checking it out I see that it does support uploading files. Impressive.

I still use tapatalk almost entirely. Would like it to stay as well. Just seems quicker and easier to me.
The new site is much more phone friendly. Before I had to scroll around and zoom in and out to post.

The problem about TapaTalk is there are so many "newbies" or simply "tech unaware" that are dependent upon it.
You would be surprised on how many people own an Android or iPhone and truly believe they need TapaTalk to browse forums. It reminds me so much of how back in the day people truly believed they needed, AOL to browse the internet.
There is a bit of generation gap when it comes to mobile devices. The older generation has no problem using a browser, while the upcoming and younger generation is completely app dependent. They believe they need an app for just about everything and telling them you can use the mobile browser just does not compute or is ignored.
another issue is they become ghost members on your forum and don't respond to any forum tweak you may have running. Communicating with them is also a huge issue as they tend to not see personal messages most of the time, miss tagged threads that need reading.
I can see that. In not much of an app guy, but really liked the ease of posting from Tapatalk. Just posted a reply on the new browser from my phone and it is just as easy as Tapatalk.

I use tapatalk because I can change the theme to dark and save my self the eye strain. I already have to stare at a laptop all day for work, and have the brightness turned down on both the phone and laptop to keep myself from getting eye stain induced migraines. So every little bit helps.
that is an easy fix, I can have two a dark and a bright forum..

If you can do that, then I can deal with not using tapatalk. This is the only forum I ready anyway.
try it now click on the page name and select StangFix Dark I made the site pretty quick if you see areas that need attention just let me know...

I have used my phone or tablet on all the forums for a long time....never used tap a talk.....and all my desk/laptops are dead.
Downloading pics from my phone is the main reason as to why I use Tapatalk. I just now opened a test thread and attempted to download a pic from my phone. Got tired of waiting for it to download. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong.

I prefer using tapatalk in my phone instead of the browser pages. It allows me quick and easy access to all the forums I spend time on without having to search through all my browser pages to find Stangfix. We may not be as tech savvy as our new exalted ruler so please leave tapatalk.
I don't appreciate the "talk down to attitude" because I prefer to use one method over the other.
