Important news about StangFix

Regarding the loss of pictures, that was because the pictures were stored in the forum's gallery which is located on the forum's server. When the server moved, all previous references in various threads still pointed at the abandoned location. I suspect moving the forum to the new server will have similar issues.

Personally, I much prefer to keep photos, videos, etc. on a server or ISP site that I control for that very reason.

I would recommend everyone to view their gallery and copy anything that you want to keep back onto your own computer or website as insurance. Hopefully, Emillio will give us adequate warning to do so.

Exactly, Midlife,
Right now I am trying to find an import for the gallery you all are using. That is going to be a tough one. Every Image in the threads should not be lost, I am going to be do my hardest to move everything. I already have many backups to assist me. With the new software attaching images and saving them will be much easier.
 
I think we should reconsider the whole " no one gets banned" thing. Just sayin'... :mark

All joking aside...thanks for all your hard work here and we hope this place can stay the great community it is...because I'm sure that's why others are interested in it. If big changes come it may not hold that community together...is my thoughts.

Thanks again, Randy for creating such a good community. I may not post often, but I do check out the site several times a week. There is so much good information and advice here. There is also support and encouragement shown to everyone. Well, maybe not poor :mark....

Nice to see Emilio working hard to try to keep the feel of the joint. Personally, I like the new software and the performance thus far is quite impressive. I know what kind of work was involved just to get to this point. Kudos to Emilio!
