Anyone here have this fan blade? https://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-d...MI9aTFnanO2wIVRb7ACh2KBACKEAQYASABEgLFKPD_BwE

I am trying to find the dimensions of it online and came coming up empty. I want to know how far it extends from the water pump mounting surface to the point closest to the radiator. Also if you can confirm the actual circumference as well. It says 17" but I will need to build a new shroud as well and could get started ahead of receiving it if I knew the actual size.

While my electric fan set-up works great I hate the noise. Want to try a mechanical fan and see if it can provide adequate cooling.

Terry , noise of electrical fan ? You can use a double thermo switch ( I think 90°C and 110°C) and when the 90°C switch closes , it will give power through a resistor , so it will rotate half speed , and therefore makes less noise. I would opt for that cause you already have a fan.
And when the 110°C switch closes , it will shortcut the resistor and the fan goes full speed .My 2 eurocent.

That's my other course I am looking into, Bruno. If lower voltage (slower speed) can keep the temp down and lessen the noise I'm good that way too. I like the idea of not having a finger severing, whirling knife under the hood too!

Bruno, you’re making it too easy for our resident overachiever.

It will Terry , its just how high/low the resistor must be , to have enough flow to keep it on temp and without the noise .
And to Mark , I have a soft spot for all stangfixers , even for you !!:p:p
